Once you're logged in, here's a quick look at everything available to you in Bizi.

Bonuses and Flags: This is your Bizi landing page and where you'll spend most of your time. Awarding a bonus takes seconds, and your full class roster is always one click away. At the top of the page, you'll find three tabs:

  • Classes: All classes linked to your account through your student information system are found here. Click any class to view your full roster. Inside each class, two additional tabs become available:
  • Class Groups: Create custom student groups and award bonuses to the whole group at once.
  • Co-Teachers: Add other teachers to your classes so they can access them through their own account.
  • School Groups: Create and view shared school-wide groups using students from any class.
  • Recent Activity: Review everything you've sent recently, with the ability to edit or remove individual bonuses or flags.

Quick Send: Need to recognize a student outside your roster? Use Quick Send to issue a bonus or flag to any student at your school.

Store: The Store is where students shop using their BiziBucks. As a teacher, your main responsibility here is your Class Store. The School Store runs itself.

  • School Store: Items listed and managed by your school. No inventory management on your end.
  • My Store: Items you list for students in your classes. You manage the inventory and handle distribution directly to students.

Orders: View all orders placed by your students in one place. School Store orders are handled by your school. Teacher Store orders are your responsibility to fulfill, so check this regularly on and around Store Day.

Reports: Reports give you a real-time picture of how your students are doing. Access data on total BiziBucks earned, usage rates, attendance, behavior, academic grade averages, purchase activity, and bonus and flag statistics. Useful for spotting trends and recognizing students who may need extra encouragement.

Calendar: Stay on top of important dates. Order cutoffs, store days, and academic pay days are all here, so you're never caught off guard.

Account Menu (your initials): Access the Teacher Toolbox, the "How to Earn" guide, Contact Us, Terms and Policies, or log out.

BiziBucks are deposited automatically based on how your students show up every day. The more consistent they are with attendance, behavior, and academics, the faster their balance grows.

There are four ways to earn:

1. Attendance: Students earn for arriving on time. Deposits are automatic and daily, based on grade level:

  • Elementary School Students: 20 BiziBucks per day
  • Middle School Students: 3 BiziBucks per period
  • High School Students: 5 BiziBucks per period

*Note: These values represent the majority of schools; actual BiziBucks earned for attendance may vary. Check the How to Earn page in your Account Menu for specific values for your school.

2. Behavior: Students earn for a flag-free day or period. When students stay flag-free, they receive an automated deposit. Any staff member can issue a flag for negative behavior. One flag blocks the behavior deposit for that day (elementary) or that class period (middle and high school). For most school setups, behavior deposit values are equivalent to the attendance values listed above.

3. Academics: Students earn based on their current grade in each class. Academic deposits work like a paycheck, processed every two weeks:

  • 25 BiziBucks per A or E
  • 20 BiziBucks per B or S
  • 15 BiziBucks per C

*Note: These values represent the majority of schools; actual BiziBucks earned for attendance may vary. Check the How to Earn page in your Account Menu for specific values for your school.

4. Bonuses: This is where you make the biggest difference. Bonuses are Bizi's way of recognizing students who go above and beyond, and you're the one who makes that happen. Any staff member can award a bonus on the spot for demonstrating core values. Bonuses are worth 5 BiziBucks each, can be issued daily, and there's no limit on how many a student can receive.

*Note: Bonus values may be changed by your school. Check the How to Earn page in your Account Menu for specific numbers for your school.

Awarding bonuses and issuing flags are the two most frequent actions you'll take in Bizi. Learn how.

Bonuses recognize students for doing the right thing; flags document behavior that blocks a student's daily or class period deposit. Both take less than 30 seconds to send, and both can be edited or removed if you make a mistake.

There are two ways to send a bonus or flag, depending on your situation.

Option 1: Quick Send

Quick Send is ideal when you want to recognize or flag a student outside of your normal class roster, like in the hallway, at lunch, or during a school-wide event.

1. Click the Quick Send button on your landing page.

2. Choose Send Bonus or Send Flag.

3. Search for any student in the school.

4. Choose a Bonus or Flag category.

5. Add a comment (optional but encouraged).

6. Click Send.

Option 2: Class Roster

For everyday classroom use, your class roster lets you send bonuses or flags to one student, a few, or your entire class at once.

1. Select a class from your landing page.

2. Click on one student or select multiple students.

3. Choose Send Bonus or Send Flag.

4. Select the appropriate category.

5. Add a comment (optional but encouraged).

6. Click Send.

*Tip: To send to your entire class at once, click Select All in the top right before choosing your action. Great for whole-class recognition moments.

How to create custom Bonuses or Flags

Bizi comes with default categories chosen by your administrators, but you can add your own to match your classroom culture. To create a custom category, click Quick Send, then select Add Bonus or Add Flag at the bottom of the category list. Type your new category name and click Save. It will be available to use right away.

How to remove or edit a Bonus or Flag

Sent something by mistake or need to make a correction? No problem. Everything you've issued in the past two weeks lives in Recent Activity on your landing page.

1. Go to Recent Activity on your Bizi landing page.

2. Find the student whose bonus or flag you want to change.

3. Select Edit.

4. From here, you can update the category, revise the comment, or remove the bonus or flag entirely.

5. Click Update to save your changes.

*Note: Recent Activity shows the past two weeks of your issued bonuses and flags. For older activity, use the Reports section.

Quick answers to the questions we hear most.

How do I remove a bonus or flag I issued by mistake?

Go to Recent Activity tab on your landing page. Find the student and click Edit. From there, you can update the category, revise the comment, or remove it entirely. Recent Activity shows the past two weeks of issued bonuses and flags.

How do I send a bonus or flag to a student who is not in my class?

Click the Quick Send button in the top left corner of the platform and search for any student at your school. Quick Send works for students in the hallway, at lunch, during school-wide events — anywhere outside your normal roster. Select your category, add a comment if you'd like, and click Send.

How do I add a co-teacher to my class?

Select the class from your landing page, then click the Co-Teachers tab. Click Add Co-Teacher, search for the teacher by name, and click Add. They will be able to access that class through their own account.

How do I hide student stats like Bonuses, Flags, or balance information from the class view?

Click the Settings wheel on your class page. From there, go to Stats and toggle off whichever information you want to hide — Show Balance, Show Bonuses, and Show Flags can each be turned on or off independently. Now, you can confidently have your class roster up on your screen in front of the class.

How do I rename a class?

On your landing page, find the class card you want to rename and click the three-dot menu in the corner. Select Rename, type the new name, and save. This only changes how the class appears in your view and does not affect anything in the SIS or for students.

How do I sort my class roster by last name?

Click the Settings wheel on your class roster, select Sort By, and choose Last Name. Your roster will update immediately.

A student is not showing up in my roster. What do I do?

Rosters sync from your school's SIS. If a student was recently added or transferred, they should appear in Bizi the following day after the nightly sync. If the issue persists, reach out to Bizi support through the Contact Us option in your Account Menu.

Do I need to do anything for attendance or academic deposits to process?

No. Attendance and academic deposits are fully automated through the nightly SIS sync. As long as you are entering grades and attendance in your SIS as normal, Bizi handles the rest. The only action that requires your input is issuing bonuses or flags.

Is there a limit to how many bonuses or flags I can give?

No. Bonuses can be given as often as you'd like — the more consistently you recognize students, the more effective the program will be. For flags, a student's behavior deposit is blocked for that day or class period after the first flag. Issuing additional flags does not further impact their BiziBucks, but you can and should issue as many as needed for documentation purposes.

How do I see how my students are performing overall?

Head to Reports. From there, you can view data on BiziBucks earned, attendance rates, behavior trends, academic grade averages, bonus and flag statistics, and store purchase activity for your classes. Use the date range filters to narrow down by pay period or any custom range. Reports are a good way to spot students who may need extra encouragement before a payday.

Who do I contact if I have a question or issue I cannot resolve?

Go to your Account Menu, click Contact Us, and send us a message. You can also visit the Teacher Toolbox anytime from your Account Menu for additional resources and guides.
